Surprise baby girl!

I got the pleasure of photographing these sweet new parents for their maternity session back in January (you can see that session here). At the time they didn’t know if that cute baby bump was a girl or a boy…(kuddos to them for holding out for the big surprise…I’m WAAAAYY too impatient….but I think its so cool for people that can hold out!). I guessed girl….and I was right! Here is sweet Molly Amelia Aho, born 2/28/12 when she was just 6 days new.

Audrey is 2!

Wow…so much has changed in just one year since the last time I photographed this family. Here is Audrey for her 1st birthday shoot and just look at her now! So grown up and so much blonde hair! Audrey’s little pig tails remind me of Haylee’s when she was that age…..which of course is now just a memory because Haylee (lets just call her Ms. Independent!) has decided that she will only wear her hair “down like Princess Aurora” (Sleeping Beauty) wears it. So, L family….enjoy this 2 year old phase…which I’m sure has its highs and lows….but at least for now….you get to pick the hair styles! It is such a honor to photograph your sweet families year after year and I just love watching your family grow. Thank you guys so much for choosing me to capture these priceless memories for you all!

Audrey looks so cute! All of the pictures are terrific, but the two that made my day are where she’s in the yellow kiddie car with a serious look like “why are they doing this to me?” and the one where she’s sitting on the blanket in her blue dress with her Barbara Bush pearls and white gloves. It makes me miss you all even more!

Growing family

I started photographing this family when Jaxon had just turned one…we did a cake smash you can see here. Then I got to do an 18 month session with them down at Butler Park….here. Then I photographed Layton’s newborn session just 5 weeks or so after I had my little guy. I was still on maternity leave, but couldn’t miss seeing the newest addition to their adorable family. I will put up some pics from that session soon. It has been such a pleasure to capture their growing family over the past couple years. Thank you Jenn and Chad!

10 Reasons I love you…

I made this book for my daughter right before her 3rd birthday and before the birth of her baby brother. It felt so great to use pictures and words to document the sweetness & sass that is– my Haylee. The book I had printed is amazing and it shows even better printed than in digital form. I’m going to make one every year for my kiddos and I’m thinking about making this available to my clients. It would be a special type of session….first we’d brain storm about what you want your 10 reasons to be and then put together a game plan for the shoot.
